What we do

Cub Scouting offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Service projects, ceremonies, games, and other activities guide boys and girls through the core values and give them a sense of personal achievement. Through positive peer group interaction and parental guidance, boys and girls learn honesty, bravery, and respect.

Pack 112 is very active, providing a rich environment for children and their families. As a pack, we have a fall and a spring campout with all families, where we complete adventures in the forest, play big games, build forts, cook together… We participate in community service activities, join the Veterans Day ceremonies, we build wooden cars and boats from recycled materials and race them for Pinewood Derby and Raingutter Regatta, we hold our own Blue & Gold Scout Birthday Celebration, we have a Lego building afternoon and more!

In each den, children meet and complete different adventures during the year (from September to June). We follow Scouting America guidelines and programs, with six required adventures and two electives, and sometimes more. Each adventure is designed to be fun and age appropriate. The required adventures focus on building character/leadership, how to act outdoors, learning personal fitness, becoming a good citizen, staying safe and being reverent. For the elective adventures we learn new crafts, go to museums or try new sports such as sailing! When Cub Scouts complete adventures they earn belt loops, pins, and badges, all proudly displayed on their uniforms.
